Kamiński on the loss of his father and the great burden he has carried

According to The Sun: The goalkeeper of CHARLTON, Tomas Kamiński, shared his feelings after the tragic death of his father at the end of last season.

The 32-year-old footballer joined the 'Eddies' from Luton after a difficult period both on and off the pitch as his team was relegated from the Premier League for the second time in a row.

Relegating from the Premier League to League One for the second time in a row became even harder following the loss of his father Jacek, who was 65 years old. He passed away during a roller ride in Belgium from a heart attack.

This tragedy occurred just days before 'Luton’s' final match against Coventry at Kenilworth Road Stadium.

After returning home, Tomas played in the last two matches of the season. The team defeated the 'Sky Blues', but lost away 5-3 to West Bromwich, resulting in their drop out of the league on goal difference.

“It was a huge disappointment - to be relegated, but I had other worries in the summer concerning my father. He was the central figure in my career and my life, so it was a tough time,” said Kamiński.

He also expressed his pride in having played in the Premier League, which his father watched: “It was a good experience. It has always been my dream to play in the Premier League. You meet players who can decide every game. It is very different from the Championship - less physical battle, but faster.”

Kamiński dreams of returning to the Premier League and joined 'Charlton' this summer because he believes in the team's great prospects under Nathan Jones.

“This is a team with undeniable potential. We have good players, young talents, and capable guys from the academy,” he adds.

The goalkeeper looks forward to the game at the weekend and supports his QPR colleague, Joe Walsh, who conceded seven goals in his last game.

“I know how he feels because I conceded just as many goals three years ago,” notes Kamiński.

Kamiński added: “I already wished Joe a good game, but we will fight for three points.”

“From my experience, I know it is important to quickly move on to the next games, even after big defeats. You have to learn from your mistakes.”

The loss of his father was a greater trial for Kamiński than any sporting defeat. Now he is trying to find a new meaning in the game and do everything possible to succeed with 'Charlton'. The season promises to be demanding and requires strength from the footballers, but Kamiński is determined to fight for his place on the field.
