Shutterstock EditorialIn a statement, Yeovil's club said:
“Yeovil Town Football Club can confirm that Danny Webb has resigned from his position as First Team Manager due to personal and family reasons. He expressed his personal dismay at the need to leave the club, but believes this is the right decision for him and his family. The timing and nature of this decision have caused disappointment for all of us, and we accepted his resignation with regret but understanding. We recognize that this news will be disappointing, especially after the thorough selection process that brought Danny to the club. While we respect his need to put family first, our priority now must be the stability and success of the team. We wish Danny and his family all the best.”
Webb, 42, managed just one match in charge - a 1-0 defeat in an away game against Tamworth.
This was his second managerial attempt after working at Leyton Orient eight years ago, where he won only two of 12 matches.
Webb joined Chesterfield as assistant manager in 2021 and helped manager Paul Cook achieve promotion to League Two in 2024.
During his playing career, he made over 300 appearances for clubs such as Southend, Hull City, and Brighton.

The club now has to urgently find a new coach to meet the team's needs and restore stability ahead of upcoming matches. In the constant pressure of professional sports, such decisions are difficult but often necessary for the further development of the club and the personal life of the coach.
