Chelsea in crisis: only two center-backs remain after defeat to Liverpool.
Critical situation at 'Chelsea'
According to The Sun: The 'Chelsea' club has found itself in a difficult position as it has only two fit center-backs remaining after injuries sustained during the match against 'Liverpool'.
Benoit Badiashile and Josh Acheampong were injured in the second half of the game at Stamford Bridge.
Shutterstock EditorialNow the 'Blues' are facing problems in defense, as Reece James has had to play alongside Jorell Hato in the center of defense.
James started the match in midfield, but after Badiashile and Acheampong left the field within 13 minutes, Enzo Maresca was forced to make substitutions.
Injuries and their consequences
'Chelsea' still has five center-backs in the squad, but only Axel Disasi can play. However, he is on Maresca's 'scoring list' and has yet to take the field this season.
Trevoh Chalobah missed the match for disciplinary reasons but hopes to return after the international break. There is hope that the injuries sustained in the match against 'Liverpool' are not serious, as the next game against 'Nottingham Forest' is in two weeks.
Previously, 'Chelsea' was without Wesley Fofana, who suffered a concussion, and Tosin Adarabioyo, who injured his calf during the warm-up before the game against 'Brighton' last week.
Levi Colwill is out for the season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
In 'Chelsea', injuries have affected all lines, as Cole Palmer, Andrey Santos, Dario Esugo, and Liam Delap also remain sidelined.
Nevertheless, there is a positive note: the long absence of Romeo Lavia has ended, as he stepped onto the field when substituted for Badiashile.

The loss of several key players has led to instability in defense, which could negatively affect the club's results in the near future. The team hopes that the upcoming games will be a great opportunity to restore their form. Moreover, Lavia's return to the squad could be a positive sign for the 'Blues'.
