Froome, who is 40 years old, took the stage as part of a panel alongside Usain Bolt, Anthony Joshua, and Mika Hakkinen.
During an interview before the ceremony, he answered questions about his health.
“I think it has become a motivation for me to push myself in rehabilitation and get out of the hospital in time to be ready for this event, as it seems it will be a fantastic evening.”
Froome looked stylish in a tuxedo and posed for photos with eight-time Olympic champion Bolt.
He also took a selfie with Joshua and noted that he felt good after a quick recovery.
