According to The Sun: Christian Eriksen noted that his defibrillator has 'simply become part of me' and mentioned that he only thinks about it during airport security checks.

Eriksen, 33 years old, collapsed during a match of the Danish national team against Finland at Euro 2020, which took place in 2021.

The former midfielder of Manchester United suffered a cardiac arrest and required urgent resuscitation on the field.

After being fitted with a defibrillator (ICD), he initially returned to Brentford and then to United in 2022.

Currently, Eriksen has signed a contract with the German club Wolfsburg after leaving Manchester United in the summer and shared that he now rarely thinks about his health issues.

At his presentation in Wolfsburg, the Dane mentioned that the only reminder of the incident is the alarm going off during security checks at the airport.

'I just go through the scanner and go through a separate check. That's it. There are no restrictions. Nothing.'

'Since then, I've never felt anything. It is simply part of me – nothing strange or sad.'

Eriksen also emphasized that he does not want to delve into the details of his incident as long as his career is not over.

'I am glad that I am seen as a footballer and not as the person who experienced that moment in the parking stadium.'
'I will only talk about it in detail after my career – that is something very personal.'

Eriksen, who received an offer from Wrexham this summer, could make his debut for Wolfsburg against Borussia Dortmund this weekend.

He leaves Manchester United, where he played over 100 matches and helped the club win the FA Cup and the League Cup.

Despite difficult years at Old Trafford, Eriksen has only positive impressions of his time at Manchester.

'I personally had a great time at United. The opportunity to play against United again after my return to football with Brentford was fantastic.'

'I believe I have also proven that I can play at a high level at United. I really enjoyed it, and my family also felt at home, we still have many friends from our time there.'

'I had good times at the club, but it was a strange time as there was a lot happening at United.'

'The perception of the club in the eyes of the world is sometimes different from reality. There are many great people in the club who work hard to do their best, but not everything works out all the time.'

Since his return to the football field, Eriksen has proven that he can be an important player at a high level again. His story inspires many as he continues to fight and realize his dreams despite serious health dangers. The move to Wolfsburg promises new opportunities for the footballer who seems to have left the tough times behind.
