Danilo Hetmantsev: there will be no tax of 2-3% on deposits for military personnel.
Assurances about the new tax
According to ТСН: The head of the Finance Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Danilo Hetmantsev, emphasized that plans to introduce a new tax of 2-3% on income to finance military deposits have been canceled.
This information was published by Hetmantsev on his Telegram.
“There will also be no such tax. And I ask to consider this month's tax initiatives as completed,” the deputy noted.
It is also worth noting that the idea of introducing a new tax for citizens to help finance the deposits for the military was put forward by MP Roman Kostenko.
Earlier, Hetmantsev denied rumors about the introduction of another tax. Deputy Minister for Community and Territorial Development Alona Shkrum reported that the government is working on the creation of a separate Reconstruction Fund. In her opinion, one possible source of funding for this fund could be a special tax. However, Hetmantsev confirmed that no additional taxes for reconstruction are planned.
Thus, the final decision regarding the new tax is of great importance in the context of the government's current financial initiatives. The cancellation of this tax may affect the prospects for financing military needs, as well as the formation of the Reconstruction Fund. It is important to monitor further decisions by the authorities in this area, as they may have a significant impact on the economic situation in the country.
