Mobilization will not be canceled even after a ceasefire: military explanation.
According to ТСН: Do not expect that mobilization will be canceled immediately after the announcement of a ceasefire, which is currently not visible. Ukraine must not allow the weakening of its armed forces.
The importance of the army
This was noted by the deputy commander of the Third Army Corps, Maxim Zhorin.
“At least in the first stages, I don’t think this is possible,” he said.
According to him, the army will remain the main guarantor of Ukraine's security, regardless of the promises of partners. He emphasized that the weakening of the armed forces should not happen at any stage.
Prospects and needs of the army
Zhorin also noted that some military personnel will likely remain in the army during the ceasefire, hoping for the possibility of changes.
“Some part of the people will surely stay in the army during the ceasefire - I hope it is those who can squeeze the old ways out of it. Some will demobilize at the first opportunity. Accordingly, the army will need replenishment, which is unlikely to be possible without mobilization,” he expressed.
He also pointed to the necessity of a technological revolution in the army to avoid maintaining a large number of servicemen.
Salary issues
Lieutenant Colonel of the Armed Forces admitted that the issue of military salaries will remain relevant.
“You obviously cannot count on contractors for 20 thousand,” he concluded.
Earlier, the need to strengthen mobilization was also discussed. Volunteer Taras Chmut called for proper research before making such decisions.
“And not just because someone liked something - we either gave away money or launched some reform or adopted another law. Let's learn to come to state management based on data, not emotions and preferences of certain individuals,” he urged.
Warnings about the importance of mobilization and support for the army indicate that military units will remain at the forefront of Ukraine's national security. The army, according to senior officials, must remain strong, and therefore discussions on the terms of service and salaries are extremely important for maintaining the morale of servicemen.
The need for technological updates also confirms the efforts to ensure the effectiveness and readiness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the modern challenges facing the country.
