How did Russia attack Dnipro on November 21? Intelligence revealed the details.
On November 21, Ukraine became a victim of a Russian attack carried out using a ballistic missile from the 'Kedr' complex. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Characteristics of the new Russian missile from the 'Kedr' complex
According to the GUR, the missile flew from the launch site in the Astrakhan region to Dnipro in 15 minutes. The missile had six warheads, each containing six submunitions. The missile's speed at the final stage of the trajectory exceeded 11 Mach.
According to intelligence data, enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex were involved in creating the mobile missile complex 'Kedr'.
Additionally, according to GUR information, tests of the 'Kedr' missile complex were conducted at the state testing ground of the Russian Federation in Kapustin Yar, Astrakhan region, in October 2023 and June 2024.
According to the Financial Times, Russia attacked Dnipro with an intercontinental ballistic missile RS-26 'Rubiž', not a medium-range missile 'Orešnik'.
Earlier, it was reported that Vladimir Putin, in his address, announced the successful testing of new weaponry - the medium-range missile 'Orešnik', and about the vulnerability of the industrial complex that produces missile-technical equipment.
Earlier, the Center for Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Russia struck Dnipro for the first time with an intercontinental ballistic missile, making Ukraine the first country against which such a missile has been used.
It is known that Russia has accumulated more than 1,500 missiles with a range of over 350 km, thanks to increased production and a pause in shelling.
