Prices for corn and zucchini in Lviv — what has become more expensive.
Currently, the market is dominated by the season of fresh vegetables and berries, and the housewives of Lviv are actively buying corn, zucchini, tomatoes, and berries. Despite difficulties with the harvest and delivery, prices remain in 'democratic ranges'.
According to information from sellers, the people of Lviv most often buy young sweet corn, which is considered tasty and healthy for consumption. The price for one ear of corn is 40 hryvnias, which, according to the seller, is a democratic price considering the farmers' costs.
Zucchini: available and popular
Young zucchinis are also at the peak of popularity at the Halytskyi market. Prices for them depend on size and freshness, ranging from 35 to 45 hryvnias per kilogram. When buying in larger quantities, sellers may offer a discount.
What has become cheaper
In addition to corn and zucchini, prices for tomatoes, cherries, and apricots have decreased. For example, the price for tomatoes has dropped from 100 to 75 hryvnias per kilogram, while cherries cost 150 instead of 200 hryvnias. Blueberries are currently sold for 350 hryvnias per kilogram, but later their price will rise to 600 hryvnias.
