On the Ukrainian market, a rapid decline in the prices of most staple vegetables was observed on July 6. This happened due to an increase in the supply of early vegetables and the simultaneous start of harvesting by several producers.
Prices for young potatoes fell by 75%, beets decreased by 40%, and onions became 37% cheaper. Cucumbers are now more accessible in greenhouses, and prices for tomatoes have also reduced. Sweet peppers, zucchinis, cauliflower, and dill have also risen in price.
Forecasts for the future
Experts believe that prices for vegetables such as cucumbers, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions will continue to decrease. However, due to the worsening harvest of some fruits, significant reductions in their prices are not expected.
