Tomato and Onion Prices Soared: How Much Vegetables Have Become More Expensive in Ukraine.

According to inkorr.com: Consumers in Ukraine are feeling the financial burden due to rising prices for essential vegetables, particularly tomatoes.
The increase in the price of tomatoes has been the most noticeable. In supermarket chains, red tomatoes are sold at prices ranging from 56.70 to 85.70 hryvnias per kilogram. The average retail price is 69.13 hryvnias per kilogram.
Potatoes remain one of the most affordable vegetables in the Ukrainian market. The average retail price is 17.35 hryvnias per kilogram, while in Metro it costs 15.80 hryvnias, and in Megamarket - 18.90 hryvnias per kilogram.
The most dramatic price increase has been recorded in the onion market. Green onions in bunches cost on average 36.30 hryvnias per 100 grams in the Metro chain.
Vegetable prices in Ukraine have risen significantly, forcing consumers to look for ways to save and choose more affordable alternatives. In the current conditions, where tomato prices have reached record levels, Ukrainians are becoming more mindful of their purchases.
