Ukrzaliznytsia introduces dynamic pricing for tickets: when ticket prices will rise
The company 'Ukrzaliznytsia' has the idea of introducing dynamic pricing, but with limitations. For example, the cost will be higher for those who purchase tickets at the last minute than for those who book in advance. However, this change will not apply to military personnel.

Chairman of UZ Oleksandr Pertzovskyi stated this during an interview with journalists.

Can they raise train ticket prices

A company representative believes that train travel should remain affordable during martial law, but this does not mean that the prices of some tickets cannot change until the end of active hostilities in Ukraine.

'We will support the possibility of keeping tickets at affordable prices, but dynamic pricing can be introduced right now, liberalizing some tickets. This will create opportunities for the development of passenger transportation,' Pertzovskyi emphasized.

He suggests revising the tariff model so that tickets for passengers who book seats at the last minute cost more, while those who purchase in advance get the most affordable prices.

Additionally, the company plans to launch two new trains on a popular route, which will increase the number of available seats for passengers. Tickets for these trains can already be purchased on various platforms, as sales traditionally open 20 days before the trains' departure.

New trains of Ukrzaliznytsia

The launch of new trains will provide Ukrainians with an additional 1028 seats daily in both directions and simplify the ticket purchasing process. There are also plans to modernize the tracks to European standards to improve passenger and freight transportation.

Positive changes in the transportation system can make train travel more convenient and accessible for all categories of passengers.

The presented news talks about the idea of introducing dynamic pricing in 'Ukrzaliznytsia', which implies raising ticket prices for those who buy them at the last minute. However, this will not affect military personnel. Additionally, the launch of new trains is planned to increase the number of available seats for passengers, which can ease the ticket purchasing process and make train travel more convenient and accessible for all categories of passengers.
