The government introduced annual bonuses for officials: this has caused outrage among citizens.
Outrage over new bonuses for high-ranking officials
According to inkorr.com:
The head of the Union of Consumers of Utility Services, Oleg Popenko, expressed his indignation concerning the new Cabinet's decree on the introduction of annual bonuses for high-ranking officials, explaining this by the rise in food prices. He stated this on the air with political scientist Yurii Romanenko.
Previously, high-ranking officials could only receive monthly bonuses of 30% of their salary and quarterly bonuses of up to 90%, but now they have also added annual payments. 'The average salary of an official in Ukraine is 100,000 hryvnias, while an ordinary citizen has to spend 40-50% of their salary on food. Under such conditions, people have to choose between food and paying utility bills, not to mention expenses for housing, clothing, and transport,' explained Popenko.
The public is actively discussing the new Cabinet decree on annual bonuses for high-ranking officials. This decision has caused outrage, as the living conditions for most Ukrainians remain difficult. Disputes over the distribution of financial resources underline the serious economic problems faced by Ukrainian society.
The introduction of new bonuses against the backdrop of rising prices for basic products and a difficult financial situation has caused outrage in society. Many people are concerned that such decisions may affect their daily lives, as well as exacerbate social tensions in the country. The situation requires careful attention from the government and dialogue with the public to find compromise solutions to improve the economic situation in Ukraine.
