Men aged 25-60 will be automatically registered in the military service register: what is known.

From April 2024, men aged 25-60 who independently provide services for obtaining a passport will automatically be registered in the military service register.
This was reported by the Judicial and Legal Newspaper.
According to 'Hvylya', if men aged 25-60 in Ukraine submitted documents for obtaining a Ukrainian or a foreign passport by April 24, 2024, but have not yet received it, the Ministry of Defense will receive information about these men. The Ministry will include their data in a special register called 'Oberig', which contains information about conscripts, persons liable for military service, and reservists.
This new rule was introduced due to changes in resolution No. 932, adopted by the Government of Ukraine on February 14, 2025, concerning the automatic verification of data on persons liable for military service.
Specifically, the following list of data is required:
- digital image of the face;
- surname, name, patronymic;
- date of birth;
- place of birth;
- gender;
- place of residence and whereabouts;
- passport details or other document that gives the citizen the right to leave the country (series and/or number, date of issue, issuing authority, expiration date);
- citizenship data;
- unique registration number in the Unified State Demographic Register (if available);
- registration number of the taxpayer's archival card (if available);
- data on the issuance of documents for leaving for permanent residence abroad or returning to Ukraine.
Thus, based on such data received by the Ministry of Defense, territorial recruitment centers, and social support bodies carry out the registration of the listed individuals for military accounting and form military accounting documents in electronic form.
It should be noted that the registration of these citizens of Ukraine for military accounting is carried out by the recruitment centers with the registered or declared place of residence, and in cases where the place of residence is not registered or declared, by the recruitment centers as indicated by the General Staff of the Armed Forces. At the same Time, the registration for military accounting of these individuals is carried out without the referral of the military medical commission for medical examination.
It is very noticeable that the government has changed the rules for entering information into the 'Oberig' register. Now this register will cover young people aged 16 (who reach 17 years of age in the year of registration) to 25 years, including those who are abroad.
Data collection will be carried out using the 'Trembita' system, which will combine various state databases.
'The introduction of data into the 'Oberig' register is carried out with the application of electronic information interaction of the Unified State Demographic Register, the departmental information system of the State Migration Service, other information systems, registers, and databases in accordance with Article 14 of the Law 'On the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Persons Liable for Military Service, and Reservists', using the electronic interaction of state electronic information resources 'Trembita', - it is stated in the article.
Thus, these data about persons aged 17-24 can also be obtained from the registers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the State Tax Service, the Border Guard Service, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Pension Fund, and others.
We remind you, the conditions of the contract for citizens aged 18-24 have been published.
