Olesya Otradnova Confirmed as Ukrainian MP by Central Election Commission.
Olesya Otradnova's Parliamentary Mandate Confirmed
According to TSN.ua: The Central Election Commission of Ukraine has officially validated the election of Olesya Otradnova as a People's Deputy. This confirmation relates to the extraordinary parliamentary elections held on July 21, 2019. Otradnova was elected through the nationwide multi-mandate constituency, representing the 'Servant of the People' political party under candidate number 160.
Background and Professional History
Born in 1977 in Blagoveshchensk (Amur Oblast, Russia), Olesya Otradnova completed her studies at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 1999. She defended her candidate's dissertation on 'Penalty in the Civil Law of Ukraine' in 2002. From 2020 to 2025, she served as the head of the Prosecutors' Training Center of Ukraine.
Otradnova first ran for a seat in the Verkhovna Rada under the 'Servant of the People' party banner in 2019 but was not awarded a mandate at that time. However, in 2026, the Central Election Commission recognized her as a People's Deputy following Roman Kravets's decision to renounce his parliamentary mandate. Kravets, who was also elected, declined to take up his seat, thereby creating the vacancy that Otradnova has now filled.
This situation highlights the fluid nature of Ukrainian politics, where a single candidate's decision can alter parliamentary representation.
With her academic credentials and prior political engagement, Olesya Otradnova now has the opportunity to influence legislative initiatives and participate in shaping state policy on behalf of the 'Servant of the People' party. Such political developments are closely watched as indicators of the stability within Ukraine's governing coalition.
