According to Espreso.tv: On July 20, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky convened a high-level meeting with military commanders to assess frontline conditions, defensive requirements, and overall strategy. The session included the commanders of the following units:

• 9th Corps
• 12th Corps
• 14th Corps
• 15th Corps
• 16th Corps
• 18th Corps
• 21st Corps
• 30th Marine Corps

This discussion took place amid speculation about potential personnel changes within the Armed Forces' command structure.

Zelensky reported that the commanders provided detailed briefings on their respective sectors, including Russian military activity, enemy plans, and countermeasures.

“I spoke with the leaders of the 9th, 12th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 18th, and 21st Corps, as well as the 30th Marine Corps. I am grateful for their input,” the president stated.

Preparing for Multiple Scenarios

The meeting also focused on contingency planning for the Chernihiv-Kyiv axis.

“We received a report on our preparations for various possible developments in the Chernihiv-Kyiv direction, factoring in intelligence data and Moscow’s ongoing efforts to find new ways to prolong and widen the war. We discussed the need to strengthen frontline air defense and identified key decisions to advance the corps reform,” Zelensky added.

Also participating were Deputy Chief of the General Staff Volodymyr Horbatyuk, Joint Forces Commander Mykhailo Drapatyi, Air Assault Forces Commander Apostol, and the heads of the 2nd and 3rd Corps, Obolensky and Biletsky. These consultations are critical for shaping Ukraine’s long-term defense strategy.
