Beard Care
Garriсkson shared that the beard sometimes complicates his performances. In an interview with the show Weekly Dartscast, he noted:
“I try to use beard oil, but when I throw darts, my hand always touches the beard, and then I can’t throw properly.”
He also added:
“My beard is probably the longest I have ever had. Let's see if it gets longer.”
Garriсkson emphasized that beard care requires significant attention. He noted:
“I usually wash it once or twice a day. I only use conditioner, no shampoo, because it softens and smoothens the hair without drying it out.”
Despite all the difficulties, Garriсkson has never visited a barber to take care of his beard and manages it himself. He confessed:
“I've never been, but I've thought about it.”
Successes on the International Stage
The 50-year-old Garriсkson impressed the audience at the Darts European Championship in June by advancing to the third round after defeating Raymond van Barneveld and Michael Smith. In the match against Smith, he achieved a clear 6-1 victory and showed an impressive average of 106. However, his journey ended in the round of 16 when he lost to Damon Heta 6-4.
Thus, Garriсkson's beard problems do not hinder him from being successful in darts. His recognizable appearance and serious approach to self-care make him not only a talented athlete but also a figure that attracts both fans and journalists. Will he find a solution for his beard problems? Time will tell.
