DBR reported suspicion against Shabunin - what is known.
The State Bureau of Investigation reported that the head of the Anti-Corruption Center, Vitaly Shabunin, has been charged with evasion of military service. According to the investigation, Shabunin also unlawfully used a vehicle designated for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The man faces up to 10 years in prison. Law enforcement emphasized that this case has no relation to his professional activities.
In addition, the DBR announced that searches are being conducted at the military unit and at the residence of Shabunin's family. Searches were also conducted at the former head of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Oleksandr Kubrakov.
This news is significant as it concerns a high-ranking official and corruption allegations that may have serious consequences for those involved in the case.
