The SSU and SBI uncovered a draft evaders channel to Transnistria: a corrupt official arrested.
According to inkorr.com: The State Bureau of Investigations, together with the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service, discovered and stopped an illegal route for those seeking to evade military service and escape from Ukraine to Transnistria. This 'corridor' was identified in 2025 when a border guard offered to transport a person outside the controlled border crossing point for $4,500.
The illegal intermediary provided the buyer with specific instructions on the route and means necessary for successful border crossing. On the soldier's smartphone, he showed places where one could conduct an illegal crossing. And on the same day, after receiving the money, law enforcement officers arrested the criminal.
The suspect has been charged with illegal transportation of people across the border. A decision is also being made regarding the preventive measure and possible dismissal of the criminal, who could face up to 9 years in prison under this article.
Law enforcement officials stopped the operation of an illegal channel for transporting conscripts, which had been active since August 2025. The arrested intermediary offered to avoid service abroad for a high price, but law enforcement quickly intervened and halted his activities, bringing charges and considering suspension from office. The villain faces up to 9 years in prison for the illegal transportation of people across the border.
This case highlights the activity of Ukrainian law enforcement in combating illegal immigration and draft evaders. The authorities continue to take measures to ensure compliance with legislation in the field of military service.
