DPR to Increase Staff by 300 Employees: Where the Millions Will Go.
Increase in Expenditure on Salaries at DPR
According to inkorr.com: In 2026, the spending on salaries at the State Bureau of Investigation will rise by 694 million UAH. This was reported by the advisor for communications at DPR, Tetyana Sapyán.
This money will primarily go to the salary fund of the expanded staff – an additional 300 employees. 'That is, additional resources are directed exclusively to people – those who protect the law every day and work for the safety of the state,' emphasized Sapyán.
She also noted that the Verkhovna Rada made changes to the legislation back at the end of 2024, which increased the number of Bureau employees from 1,600 to 1,900. 'In conditions of martial law and a sharp increase in the number of criminal proceedings, we need to strengthen the team to effectively carry out our tasks,' the advisor stressed.
Sapyán pointed out that during martial law, the number of criminal proceedings increased. Therefore, for DPR, this is an important event in the formation of the structure – an additional 300 employees who will strengthen the detection and investigation of violations.
New employees will primarily strengthen territorial departments that operate in frontline regions such as Kharkiv, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Kramatorsk, and Chernihiv. 'I believe you will agree that bolstering precisely these units will enhance the Bureau's capabilities: there will be fewer violations, and those who attempt to break the law will be detected and held accountable,' Tetyana Sapyán emphasized.
Thus, the increase in expenditure on salaries at DPR is aimed at expanding the staff to improve the fight against violations. This is necessary given the rise in criminal proceedings and martial law. Additional resources should enhance the Bureau's effectiveness and, at the same time, ensure the state's security.
