Brovary and Vyshgorod without power for a week: when will the energy system work again

According to ТСН: The situation with electricity supply remains the most difficult in Brovary and Vyshgorod, located in the Kyiv region. Stabilization of the energy system is planned for the coming week.

This information was announced during a broadcast on the 'Kyiv24' channel by People's Deputy of the 'Servant of the People' faction, Serhiy Nahornyak, commenting on the consequences of Russia's attacks on energy infrastructure.

'Russia has not only used 'Shahed' drones and missiles but also employed missiles with cluster munitions when targeting the hydroelectric power stations. In particular, the substation responsible for delivering electrical energy generated at the hydroelectric power station. The impact of these attacks is maximum,' notes Nahornyak.

The People's Deputy also spoke about equipment issues that have arisen, particularly in the context of the transmission system operator's operations.

'Today we are talking about 110 switches because the enemy, attacking all 'Ukrenergo' substations, has knocked out a significant portion of this equipment,' he adds.

Earlier, there were also reports of the possibility of evacuating Kyiv due to severe frost and blackout.

The energy situation in Ukraine remains quite critical, especially amid constant attacks. It is important for state authorities and energy workers to quickly find solutions to restore stability in the energy system, as weather and the actions of the aggressor can further complicate the situation. We will monitor developments in this area, as they may have serious consequences for the population and the economy of the country.
