Ukraine has millions of tons of nickel: where the richest deposits are located.
Nickel is a strategically important metal used in metallurgy, the chemical industry, and battery production. Ukraine has significant natural potential for nickel extraction due to its diverse deposits.
Nickel ores in Ukraine are considered minerals of national importance. They are mainly extracted in the Pobuzhzhia region (Kirovohrad region) and the Middle Dnieper region.
The largest deposits of nickel ores in Ukraine
In the Pobuzhzhia group of nickel ores, deposits such as Derenyukhivske, Kapitaniivske, Lipovenkivske, and others are distinguished. The Dnipro group includes deposits such as Devladovo, Novo, Ternivske, and Chervonyi Yar. However, due to the deep occurrence of the ores and the remoteness from processing production, extraction in the Middle Dnieper region is considered unprofitable.
Nickel is used in production to create alloyed steels and special alloys. It is also applied in jet engine manufacturing and in the electrical and chemical industries. Nickel helps improve the corrosion resistance of products and gives them an aesthetic appearance.
The natural style of the text allows us to easily imagine how nickel is extracted in Ukraine and where and how it is used. Nickel plays an important role in many industries and has significant potential for further development.Read also
