The focus is on Italy, where wild floods have turned cities into real rivers. Heavy rains have collapsed bridges, and cars have sunk beneath the waves of the flood. People have died across the country, and thermometers show unusually low temperatures. Even firefighters have been sent to help clear basements and barricade low-lying houses. Similar natural disasters struck Italy last month, and heavy rains and floods have also been observed in southern Spain. In Murcia, two people lost their lives, and communities were evacuated due to the devastating effects of the bad weather.
