Russian Strikes Hit Six Ukrainian Regions, Leaving Dead and Dozens Wounded.

Widespread Russian Attacks on Ukrainian Cities

According to UATV: On July 23, 2023, the Russian military launched large-scale attacks across Ukrainian cities using drones and missiles. These assaults targeted the Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Sumy, and Donetsk regions. At least three people were killed and more than thirty others injured as a result of these strikes.

Regional Breakdown of the Attacks

In Zaporizhzhia and its surrounding area, two people died and seven were wounded. According to Mayor Ivan Fedorov,

'over the past day, the Russian army carried out 913 strikes on 52 settlements in the region'

In the Sumy region, Russian drones targeted gas stations, highlighting enemy activity in that area. Oleh Syniehubov reported that

'the enemy actively used various types of weapons across the region'

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast experienced over 20 strikes across four districts, delivered via drones and artillery. Meanwhile, in the Kherson region, shelling killed one man and wounded 20 others.

According to Vadym Filashkin, five residents of Donetsk region were also injured in the attacks over the past day. In Kharkiv, one man died and 11 people were wounded as a result of the shelling.

A variety of weaponry was used:

• 6 missiles
• 6 guided aerial bombs (KABs)
• 1 'Lancet' UAV
• 2 'Molniya' UAVs
• 11 FPV drones
• 30 UAVs of undetermined type

These massive attacks underscore the serious threat to civilians in Ukraine and highlight the urgent need to strengthen the country's defense capabilities.

These strikes reflect the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine and point to an escalating intensity of combat across multiple regions. Given the high number of attacks recorded in a short period, the readiness of Ukrainian forces to protect civilians and infrastructure remains critical.
