According to inkorr.com: The State Inspection for Energy Supervision has completed an analysis of accident prevention systems at electrical facilities in preparation for the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026. The inspections covered more than a thousand substations and 10.3 thousand power line sections.

According to the assessment results, most of the automatic control devices are operational and meet the requirements of current regulatory technical documents. However, about 350 remarks were identified.

The main deficiencies concern the absence or malfunction of telemechanics and measuring devices at substations, as well as damage to lines or equipment responsible for automatic frequency unloading.

Recommendations were provided to distribution system operators and electricity consumers to address the identified deficiencies. Territorial bodies of the State Energy Supervision will monitor the implementation of these recommendations. It is emphasized that timely resolution of problems is critically important for ensuring the safety of energy facilities under high load conditions in winter.

'The correct operation of the system's accident prevention automation is key to the stability of Ukraine's energy system during a special period,' it was emphasized in the State Energy Supervision.

The state agency emphasizes the importance of regular monitoring and control over the operation of accident prevention automation to ensure stable electricity supply for both the population and critical facilities.

The situation with Ukraine's energy systems remains under close supervision, especially during periods of increased electricity consumption. The implementation of the State Energy Supervision recommendations will be an important step in ensuring the reliability of the energy infrastructure ahead of winter cold when the risks of accidents may increase.
