According to The Sun: The taste of Coca-Cola, which became a real sensation in the USA, will be back on the shelves of British stores.
Fans can enjoy not only their favorite drink but also its retro packaging.
Diet Cherry Coca-Cola will only be available for a limited timeFrom October 8, Diet Cherry Coca-Cola will reappear in Tesco stores across Great Britain. This drink first appeared in the 80s and was discontinued in 2018.
The fruity version of Diet Coca-Cola will be available in packs of 24 cans, as well as in 500 ml and 2 l bottles, so everyone can find a convenient option.
But there is one catch: the nostalgic drink will only be available for a short time.
Tara Burns, senior brand manager for Diet Coca-Cola in Great Britain, said: 'We listened to our consumers and are delighted to announce the return of Diet Cherry Coca-Cola. The comeback of this retro icon is a delicious reminder that our fans have been hoping for.'
'Some love the classic, while others love the changes; for some, this little ritual with cherry flavor will provide a chance to make their breaks with Diet Coca-Cola more personalized.'
She added: 'Returning exclusively for a limited time, your favorite cherry flavor is back on sale, but hurry while there’s still a chance!'
Diet Cherry Coca-Cola returned to America earlier this summer. The return was first reported by Metro, noting that the drink will be back on shelves after a seven-year absence.
Fans were ecstatic, calling the drink 'game-changing', 'elite', and 'definitely 10 out of 10.'
Users on TikTok also weren't left out, sharing their reactions. One user wrote: 'This is so iconic. It's so delicious. It's everything.'
'I can't stop drinking this, and I’m really sad that this is a limited edition.'
Another user pleaded with the brand: 'Please never take this away.'
This fizzy drink has already gained cult status online, with many promising to 'stock up' before supplies run out.
Discontinued products
Not only Coca-Cola is changing its product line. Consumers were dismayed to learn that Halo Top has discontinued its Häagen-Dazs strawberry cheesecake ice cream alternative. Alpen bars have also permanently disappeared from supermarket shelves.
Alpen bars were a favorite among those watching their weight or adhering to Slimming World diets, as this dessert was low in calories.
Candy giant Mondelez has also discontinued the dark chocolate version of Toblerone bars.
