Ukrainian children have been granted easier exit abroad: new rules for parents.
According to inkorr.com: During the state of war, Ukrainian children can leave the country under simplified conditions. Children under 16 years old have the right to leave the country independently, with a passport, or accompanied by parents or other persons with the appropriate permission. Notarized consent from the other parent is not required when the child is traveling with relatives. However, if the child is accompanied by third parties, written consent from one parent, approved by the guardianship authority, must be obtained.
When crossing the border, border guards check documents such as the birth certificate and the citizen's passport of Ukraine for leaving the country, as well as other documents that confirm family ties. Biometric controls are in place at the borders of European Union countries.
Thus, thanks to the simplified rules during the state of war, Ukrainian children have the opportunity to leave the country, facilitating their movement to safe regions or other countries.
