Ukrainian carriers are fined in Poland for punctuation errors

Ukrainian carriers have received high fines in Poland for minor violations. In particular, they were penalized for the absence of a punctuation sign and GPS signal. This was reported by the Deputy Minister for Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, Serhiy Derkach, on his Facebook page.

Ukrainian carriers register in the SENT/RMPD system during trips in Poland. However, for minor technical flaws that can cost up to 120 thousand UAH, they are subjected to fines. In this regard, Ukraine has appealed to the Polish ministries and the European Commission to review these sanctions.

According to Derkach, the SENT/RMPD system is designed to prevent cabotage transportation and requires carriers to have the necessary permits for domestic transport. For this reason, minor punctuation violations and the absence of a GPS signal cannot harm the transport market in Poland.

Ukraine has already contacted the ministries of finance and infrastructure in Poland and has organized a meeting with Polish colleagues to discuss this issue. Derkach urged Ukrainian carriers to contact the Ministry for Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine in case of improper application of fines.

Testing of the digital module for international buses has already begun.
