The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development has signed an agreement with the Trade Union of Workers in Construction and the Construction Materials Industry of Ukraine to double the minimum salary of builders. This agreement will be mandatory for enterprises in the industry, and the new tariff rate for construction workers will increase to 12,142 UAH.The head of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danilo Hetmanцев, stated that this innovation is aimed at reducing the shadowing of wages in construction, increasing the minimum official salary. Employers who currently pay salaries in 'black' will be required to pay them in 'white' according to the signed agreement.
