Zelensky revealed details of the new Paris Declaration: what the coalition of the willing means.

According to ТСН: The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky characterized the new Paris Declaration as

‘very specific’

In a speech in Paris, he noted that it is important for Ukraine to be fully prepared for the moment when diplomatic efforts lead to peace.

‘We want to be ready so that when diplomacy achieves peace, we can deploy the forces of the “coalition of the willing”’

The head of state also emphasized that Ukraine has a clear understanding of the participation of other countries in peace agreements. He noted that a constructive conversation took place in Paris with the US delegation about mechanisms for monitoring peace.

Zelensky acknowledged that some issues remain unclear, particularly the updated 20-point peace plan.

‘What we really need to work on is the issue of territories’

The president also drew attention to the preparations of Ukraine and its partners for the possible deployment of forces of the “coalition of the willing” after the war. The signed documents indicate the seriousness of Europe’s intentions and the entire coalition in creating a real security system.

Currently, it has already been determined which countries are ready to take responsibility for security on land, in the air, at sea, and during the recovery process. Issues regarding the necessary forces, their management and funding, as well as the functioning of the monitoring system are being discussed.

Zelensky emphasized that the key element of the security architecture remains the Ukrainian army, around which other mechanisms will be built. He also reported on the detailed work of the military of Ukraine, France, and Great Britain regarding the possible deployment of forces and necessary types of weapons.

It is worth noting that earlier Ukraine, France, and Great Britain signed a declaration on the deployment of Western forces.

Meanwhile, the US has reported progress in negotiations concerning security guarantees for Ukraine.
