Dollar 'to soar': analysts predicted how the exchange rate will change in 2025.
According to analysts' forecasts, the dollar exchange rate will change by 2025.
In 2024, the hryvnia fell by 10.7% against the dollar, reaching a level of 42 hryvnias. Financial experts predict that the hryvnia will continue to decrease in 2025.
The forecast regarding the hryvnia exchange rate suggests that it may reach 43-44 hryvnias and stabilize at around 45 by summer. Further growth to 47 hryvnias may be observed by the end of the year. - Andriy Shevchishin, financial analyst
Andriy Shevchishin claims that the hryvnia will be weak in the first half of the year but may stabilize in the second half if there is a good harvest and activity in the agricultural sector. However, the dollar exchange rate may start to rise in the fall, but not as actively as at the beginning of the year.
Artem Shcherbina, director of the investment company Capital Times, predicts that the average dollar exchange rate in 2025 will not exceed 44 hryvnias. However, he expects an increase in the rate to 46 hryvnias by the end of the year. His forecast is based on the assumption that the war may continue throughout the year.
Shcherbina also notes that no significant changes are expected in the currency market in 2025, but significant changes may occur in 2026. The biggest risk factor is the reduction of financial support for Ukraine, which could lead to fluctuations in the dollar exchange rate.
