In August 2025, some Ukrainian citizens may participate in a support program from the International Organization ZOA with financial support from the Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine (GFU/UHF). It is designed to assist citizens in rural areas who have been affected by the war.

This was reported by the ZOA press service in Ukraine.

More about the farmers' support program

It is stated that this concerns the implementation of the 'Agricultural Support Program for Vulnerable Households', occurring in cooperation with the public organization 'League of Modern Women'.

Residents of the Sadyvska community in the Sumy region will be able to receive payments.

'The program is part of the Project 'Comprehensive Support in the Areas of Housing, Livelihoods, Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA), and Group Cash Transfers (GCT) for populations affected by conflict in northern and southern Ukraine,' the organizers explain.

Citizens can receive:

  • Agricultural support;
  • Assistance for housing restoration;
  • Housing repair for newly arrived internally displaced persons;
  • Multi-purpose cash assistance.

How to register for the assistance program

If citizens meet the requirements, they must apply to participate in the program by filling out an online form.

Registration for those wishing to receive assistance will last until August 20, 2025, provided that funding is not exhausted.

'Filling out the application does not guarantee 100% confirmation of assistance,' the organization clarified.

Details about receiving assistance are available by phone: +38 (067)291 14 64.

Previously, we reported that UNHCR opened registration for financial assistance in the Sumy region. The amount of payments is almost 11,000 UAH 'per person'.

ZOA together with the GFU are launching a program to assist farms in Sumy region, which will help vulnerable households affected by the war.
