Drones attacked the oil refinery in the Ryazan region.
On the night of February 24, drones attacked the Ryazan region. According to local social media reports, the drones were heading towards the oil refinery.
There is information about a fire at the facility. Witnesses report hearing explosions near the refinery and flames on its territory.
So far, there is no official statement from the regional governor.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ryazan oil refinery is one of the largest in Russia. It produces diesel fuel and jet fuel TS-1.
Recently in Russia, after a drone attack, the Saratov oil refinery caught fire. The governor of the Saratov region confirmed damage at the industrial facility but did not provide details. Authorities in the Russian Federation stated that the attacking drones were shot down.
This is not the first time oil refineries in Russia have been attacked. Recently, drones caused a shutdown at the 'Novovelychkovskaya' oil pumping station and the 'Plastifactor' plant in the Rostov region.
A month ago, there was also a large fire in the industrial zone of the Leningrad region, and the largest oil refinery in southern Russia halted half of its operations due to a fire.
