The President of Poland hopes for the end of the war in Ukraine after negotiations with the US Special Representative

Polish President Andrzej Duda expressed hope for the cessation of hostilities in Ukraine following talks with US Special Representative Keith Kellogg.

As a result of the meeting, Duda emphasized his conviction in the determination and effectiveness of President Donald Trump, expecting active US support in stopping Russian aggression against Ukraine.

'I hope that thanks to the efforts of President Trump, the war in Ukraine will be concluded, and Russian aggression will be halted. So far, no one has managed to stop Russia because, unfortunately, all actions within the Normandy format, Minsk agreements, etc., have not yielded the expected results,' said the President of Poland.

During the negotiations, the situation in Ukraine and further steps for international support were discussed. The US does not plan to reduce its military presence in Eastern Europe.

According to Reuters, Keith Kellogg plans to visit Kyiv. Earlier, the US Special Representative committed to achieving a ceasefire within 180 days and emphasized the necessity of involving Ukraine in the negotiation process between the US and Russia.

It should be noted that the US and Russia agreed on four principles of cooperation in the negotiations in Riyadh.

It was also reported that the US and Russia discussed a three-stage peace plan for Ukraine with the condition of holding new elections.
