The owner of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov became a sperm donor and helped over a hundred couples in 12 countries to have children. He has over 100 biological children. Durov announced this on Telegram.

According to Durov, this idea appeared fifteen years ago when his friend asked him to become a sperm donor due to fertility problems. After initially shocking the proposal, Durov agreed and became a donor. He was convinced by the clinic's head that his contribution was helping a greater number of couples, as the shortage of healthy sperm became a serious problem. After donating, Durov learned that his sperm was still available to families through one of the clinics.

Now Pavel Durov plans to make his DNA publicly available so that his biological children can find each other more easily. He also wants to remove the stigma around sperm donation and encourage more healthy men to do so to help families wishing to have children. He urges society to rethink the norms and combat the shortage of healthy sperm worldwide.

In a previously published interview, Pavel Durov spoke about his limitations in working with the United States due to an attack on him and the attention from the FBI. The Telegram administration also refuses to block channels spreading Russian propaganda.
