Ex-MI6 Chief Confirms: Putin is Increasingly Using Doubles in Public.
According to ТСН: Western analysts believe that Vladimir Putin increasingly resorts to using doubles during public meetings. This has become the main way for the Russian leader to reduce the risks of physical elimination, as fears of potential assassinations have significantly increased due to the ongoing aggression against Ukraine.
This information is confirmed by former head of British intelligence MI6 Richard Dearlove. He notes that the use of doubles has become a common practice in the security protocols of the Russian regime. Dearlove claims that the Ministry of Defense's intelligence data about impostors at official events are absolutely truthful and meticulously planned. In cases where the risk of an assassination is very high, a specially trained double may appear in front of the cameras instead of Putin himself.
Increase in Threats After Full-Scale Invasion
Western analysts link the tightening of security measures to Russia's war against Ukraine. Ukrainian special services have repeatedly demonstrated the capability to strike targets on Russian territory, which, according to experts, has raised concerns among the dictator's inner circle about possible attacks.
“He would also be a target for Ukrainian drones if they knew where he was and when,” Dearlove explained.
Where Doubles Are Not Used
According to the former MI6 chief, doubles are not used during diplomatic negotiations and closed meetings because it's hard to maintain deception during close contact.
“Doubles are not used in personal meetings because it's very difficult to imitate Putin when you are that close,” he stated.
On the contrary, at public events like walks, factory visits, or showcase trips, the risks of being monitored by the entourage significantly increase.
Facial and Movement Analysis of Putin Using AI
A report by Japanese television network TBS has drawn additional attention to this topic. Using artificial intelligence, specialists analyzed Putin's face and body movements.
They concluded that at the May 9 parade on Red Square, there was the real dictator, while during the inspection of the Crimean Bridge, his double likely appeared. The level of similarity between them, according to the study, was just over 50%.
It is known that Putin has at least five doubles.
These events indicate how seriously the Russian regime has taken the threats to its leader's security in the context of the war. The use of doubles has become not only a matter of security but also a symbol of the panic that has engulfed Putin's entourage. Observing his public appearances, we may never know who is truly standing behind him at any given moment.
