Russia's Deepening Economic Crisis: Expert Warns of Collapse Without External Aid.
Russia's Economic Crisis
According to TSN.ua: Russia's economic situation is deteriorating, and an expert warns the nation cannot maintain stability without external support. Political analyst Pyotr Kulpa points to a severe economic decline, noting that apparent stability is being achieved by draining other sectors. According to his analysis, while Russia's overall economy has contracted by 3-4%, the downturn in specific industries has reached 20, 30, and even 40%.
'Russia has crawled into a hole from which it cannot climb out without external help,' stated expert Pyotr Kulpa.
Kulpa highlighted a historical context, remarking that 'the United States has worked towards the disintegration of Russia throughout history.' He believes the country's situation is critical, arguing that 'just as the US could not save the USSR from collapse, it cannot save Russia from collapse either.' These comments underscore the severity of Russia's economic crisis and the perceived necessity for outside assistance to stabilize it. This analysis comes as Russia faces unprecedented international sanctions following its invasion of Ukraine.
Impact on the Global Economy
The economic difficulties confronting Russia could have far-reaching consequences not only for the country itself but also for the global economy. A collapse in key Russian sectors could lead to significant social unrest and influence the nation's foreign policy. In a context where Russia is grappling with international sanctions and isolation, the question of external aid becomes even more pressing, as stability may remain under threat without it.
