Experts on Tough Winter: How to Prepare for Power Outages.
According to inkorr.com: Against the backdrop of massive attacks by Russia on the Ukrainian energy system, experts urge the population to prepare for a 'tough winter' and turn to autonomous sources of heating and energy.
'As for the 'black day', buying power banks and diesel generators has become justified. That day has come,' - emphasized the expert.
Energy specialist Viktor Kurtev noted that the mass transition to electric heaters in the absence of centralized heating may lead to an emergency state in home electrical networks. He urged citizens to focus on decentralization and autonomy, as generating capacities in Ukraine are continuously being destroyed.
The expert also warned about the dangers of switching to electric heating, as this could cause overloads in home electrical networks. He recommends using decentralized means, such as diesel generators, charging stations, gas heaters, and alcohol stoves.
Focus on Autonomous Means
Kurtev emphasized the need to use mobile means that do not rely on centralized networks, even in large cities close to the front. He warned of the threat of 'freezing' cities by Russia and urged preparation for autonomy, using mobile solutions to survive during the cold period.
Experts stress the importance of preparing for a 'tough winter' due to Russia's strikes on the energy system. Citizens are recommended to use autonomous heating and energy means, such as diesel generators and gas heaters, to ensure comfort in case of possible disruptions in centralized electricity supply.
In the context of the current situation, it is crucial for every citizen to understand the necessity of autonomy in conditions of uncertainty. Preparing for the winter period, especially through alternative sources of energy and heat, becomes relevant for ensuring safety and comfort in our homes during difficult times.
