Top butter brands turned out to be counterfeit: experiment results.
According to inkorr.com: It became known in the Ukrainian community about the counterfeit butter due to a study conducted by a popular TikTok blogger, @poishla29. The analysis revealed that some well-known butter brands are actually falsified. Among the tested brands were 'Yahotynske', 'Molokiya', 'Roshen', 'Ferma', 'Premiya', 'Derazhny' and 'Selyanske'.
The experiment surprised everyone: one of the most expensive options turned out to be low-quality product.
To check the quality of the butter, the blogger suggested three simple methods.
Three simple methods to determine the quality of butter
- First method: consistency
Real butter should be hard and almost stone-like when taken out of the fridge. Some of the tested samples quickly turned liquid, raising suspicions.
- Second method: water test
In this test, a quality product should dissolve evenly in hot water, creating a homogeneous white film on the surface. Instead, the fake product leaves transparent water.
- Third method: cooling
Real butter should form a homogeneous layer of fat after cooling, while the counterfeit will appear as a grainy film.
The best products turned out to be from 'Molokiya', 'Premiya', and 'Yahotynske', while 'Selyanske' did not meet the requirements. The blogger urges Ukrainians to independently check the quality of products, not relying solely on appearance.
Scientific information about the butter tests was confirmed by a Ukrainian TikTok blogger who teaches her audience how to check products. Her home methods can help avoid purchasing counterfeit butter and make an informed choice in favor of quality products.
As a result of the study conducted by the blogger, it became clear that the quality of butter can vary significantly. Consumers received useful methods for self-checking, so they can now more easily recognize counterfeit products and choose only the best for their families. This indicates the importance of being aware of product quality in everyday life.Read also
