Electronic Labor Books: What Ukrainians Should Do Before June 10, 2026.
Transition to Electronic Labor Books in Ukraine
According to inkorr.com: Ukraine is completing the process of transitioning to electronic labor books, which has been ongoing for five years. According to new legislation, citizens must convert their paper documents into digital format by June 10, 2026. Otherwise, there is a risk of losing insurance experience and encountering delays when applying for pensions.
The digitization process involves scanning all pages of the labor book and documents that confirm the work experience. Information can be verified in a special personal cabinet on the Pension Fund portal. Starting from 2026, new minimum requirements for insurance experience for retirement will also be introduced.
Reform of Special Pensions
The Ministry of Social Policy is actively working to reform the special pension system to reduce significant payments. This will help narrow the gap between special pensions and regular ones, ensuring equal social guarantees for all retirees.
These innovations aim to modernize the social security system and make it fairer. In particular, the transition to electronic labor books and pension system reform create conditions for increasing transparency in the accounting of work experience and ensuring equal rights for all citizens.
