According to The Sun: Phil Foden expressed his condolences to the famous boxer Ricky Hatton by visiting his family.

The Manchester City player left the shirt he wore during the derby against United literally just hours after the news broke of the death of Ricky's loyal fan, who was only 46 years old.

Foden, dressed in a tracksuit, unexpectedly visited the family together with his partner Rebecca Cook.

In addition to the signed shirt, he left a bouquet of flowers.

“There is only 1 Ricky Hatton. Rest in peace, Phil.”

A source close to the Hatton family noted: “Phil came very humbly, without any fuss, to pay his respects. The whole family was touched by such a gesture and how it happened.”

“Ricky would have been so proud.”

After City won 3-0, Foden said in an interview with Sky Sports: “This was for him, his family, and everyone suffering right now. The boys gave it their all.”

The legendary boxer Ricky, the father of three children, was found dead at his £1.75 million home in G Cross, Manchester, early on Sunday morning.

They were scheduled to fly to Dubai the day before a promotional day for an upcoming exhibition fight.

The Hatton family stated: “He was looking forward to the future. His bag was packed and ready to go.”

Ricky's brother Matthew, thanking fans, wrote: “I hope he has found the peace he couldn’t find in life.”

Hatton won world championship titles in lightweight and welterweight, achieving 45 victories in 48 fights.
