Ukraine's Energy System Before Winter: Will There Be Enough Electricity for the Heating Season.
According to inkorr.com: Ukraine is actively preparing for the upcoming heating season. Experts are confident that the country will be able to ensure the stable operation of its energy system, provided that no serious issues arise. Much depends on Russia's actions and the speed of response to potential threats.
Preparation for Winter
'Ukrenergo' reported that part of the damaged equipment has already been restored, and the electricity transmission system is ready for winter. An important step in this direction was the commissioning of new generating capacities, including gas turbine and gas piston installations, which increase electricity supply volumes. These initiatives, along with importing electricity from Europe, will help meet the growing demand during the winter period.
According to specialists, active work is underway to restore damaged equipment, replenish necessary materials for repairs, and strengthen the defense of energy facilities. 'Thanks to the measures taken, the energy system can quickly restore functionality after serious damage,' the company noted.
In addition, a powerful energy storage system complex has been put into operation in Ukraine.
Therefore, Ukraine is actively working on preparations for the heating season, implementing measures to ensure the stability of the energy system and readiness for potential challenges. The restoration of equipment, the introduction of new energy sources, and the strengthening of security at energy facilities are key aspects for guaranteeing the country's energy security.
