England coach Tuchel announces squad: Bellingham and Grealish out of the list.
England squad for matches against Wales and Latvia
According to The Sun: Thomas Tuchel announced the England squad for the upcoming games against Wales and Latvia. Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, and Jack Grealish will not be in the team. Instead, Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been called up to replace Adam Wharton.
Bukayo Saka has returned to the squad after recovering from a thigh injury, and former Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah has earned a place in the squad thanks to a successful start in Bayern.
Cole Palmer is out of the list due to a groin injury, while Tino Livramento and Noni Madueke are also absent due to recent injuries.
Fans were hoping Grealish would receive his first call-up this year after a successful start to the season with Everton.
“The 30-year-old player has provided four assists in eight matches this season and was named Player of the Month in the Premier League in August.”
Foden has also returned to his optimal performance after a tough 2024-25 season, registering two goals and two assists in seven matches for Manchester City.
Bellingham remains out of the squad - he missed the last international break while recovering from shoulder surgery. He made his first appearance on the field in Real's match against Espanyol on September 20 and has played in all matches since then.
Tuchel did not make any changes to the trio of goalkeepers: Dean Henderson, Jordan Pickford, and James Trafford remain in their positions. The defenders also largely remained unchanged, with Quansah replacing Livramento.
The only change in midfield is Loftus-Cheek replacing Wharton, with Elliott Anderson, Morgan Gibbs-White, Jordan Henderson, Declan Rice, and Morgan Rogers also joining the team.
