According to UATV: On June 15, the European Commission announced the opening of the first negotiation cluster for Ukraine and Moldova. Every member state of the European Union supported this decision, reflecting a unified commitment to advancing these countries' European integration efforts.

The newly initiated negotiations will focus on fundamental accession topics, including justice, freedom, and fundamental rights. As stated by the European Commission:
“Today we begin talks on the core of the accession process, covering justice, freedom, and fundamental rights.”
