Estonia prepares a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine: details from the Prime Minister.
Estonia is ready to send a peacekeeping contingent to Ukraine
Estonia is ready to send a peacekeeping contingent to Ukraine consisting of one company as part of the 'coalition of the willing'. This was stated by Prime Minister Kristen Michal in a comment to the ERR channel, reports FREEdom.
'We are currently preparing for a meeting between the President of Ukraine and Putin. If it takes place, there may be a trilateral meeting. Only after that can we discuss how to ensure security, what guarantees should cover the process, and what contributions the USA and Europe will make. Only after that will we be able to understand how this military operation will take place, who will participate and what the prospects will be in this matter,' explained Kristen Michal.
Reminder: Estonia is erecting fences on the border with Russia. Massive metal gates now block the so-called 'Friendship Bridge' from the Russian Ivangorod to the Estonian Narva.
