Everton to challenge Dewsbury-Hall's suspension: what is the reason

According to The Sun: The club Everton expressed dissatisfaction with the suspension of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for one match.

The 27-year-old midfielder received a yellow card in the 91st minute during the 1:1 draw with West Ham for a foul on Kyle Walker-Peters, although it seemed that he simply took the ball away.

As a result, he will miss the match against a strong team Crystal Palace this coming weekend.

Everton's manager, David Moyes, called referee Sam Barrott's decision “poor quality” and expressed outrage at the standards of officiating this season.

Dewsbury-Hall received his fifth yellow card of the season in just six matches, causing him to miss some time.

According to SunSport, Everton is also unhappy with the yellow card received by Dewsbury-Hall in the match against Liverpool.

This card came into effect when the player executed a quick free kick at Anfield.

Now the last two yellow cards have become a problem, as they led to the player's suspension for the weekend.

Refereeing expert SunSport, Mark Halsey, criticized referee Darren England's decision, calling it “nonsense” and “poor management and officiating”.

Moyes also noted that the overall quality of officiating is currently unsatisfactory, saying after the match: “There has been a general low quality of officiating lately.”

“It's not just me, most coaches probably feel the same.”

Michael Keane opened the scoring for Everton in the middle of the first half with a powerful header after a cross from James Garner.

Everton dominated the first half, primarily due to the active play of Dewsbury-Hall and Jack Grealish, the former of whom almost doubled the lead when his header went just past the post.

However, Everton could not take advantage of their lead, and in the 65th minute, Bowen managed to find space in the penalty area and his dangerous left shot turned into a goal thanks to a deflection from Keane.

Bowen noted that there is a “real lift” at West Ham following Nuno Espírito Santo's appointment as head coach.

“The first two days (with Nuno) impressed me with his style of management.”

“He knows what he wants from the team, and we know what he demands. The players really support this, and what we showed is a salute to the coach.”

Bowen is confident that having more time to prepare with Nuno this week will help them be even more ready for the match against Arsenal this weekend.

“We are disappointed not to have won, but we'll try to take this as a positive and head to Arsenal, where we've had success in recent years.”

“It won't be easy, as they're in the title race, but we’ll have a few days with a new manager at training.”

“I am really excited to work with him, as I have played against his teams in the Premier League, and they are always tough matches.”

Both teams continue to battle for high positions in the table, but Everton needs to find ways to cope with the absence of key players like Dewsbury-Hall. This is a challenge for the squad ahead of them in the upcoming matches, given the importance of every point in the current season.
