The Ukrainian youth football team was eliminated from Euro-2024

In the semi-finals, the Ukraine U-19 football team lost to the French team with a score of 0:1. Both teams reached this stage undefeated. Ukrainians started the tournament with two draws and then confidently defeated the European champions - the Italians. The French became the most productive team in their group.

The turning point of the match was the goal by Valentin Atangana at the beginning of the second half

The French players managed to score a goal at the beginning of the second half. The French executed a set piece and quickly outplayed the Ukrainian defense to powerfully head the ball into the net. This goal was a logical conclusion to the persistent play of the French and allowed them to take the lead.

In the first half, only the Ukrainians created dangerous moments but failed to score a goal. The French opened the scoring in the second half and the Ukrainians couldn't equalize.

The defeat in the semi-finals means that Ukraine is once again out of the youth Euro. Despite this, the Ukrainian team demonstrated a high level of play under the guidance of coach Dmytro Mykhaylenko. The team secured a spot in the U-20 World Championship. In the final, France and Spain will meet, having defeated their opponents in a tough battle.
