According to The Sun: Rio Ferdinand expressed his concern that the big signing of a Manchester United player could make participation in European football 'trivial'.

The team has only collected four points from four matches, marking the worst start to a season since 1992/93.

This has occurred despite spending over 200 million pounds on the squad, including the new attacking lineup.

However, United legend Ferdinand voiced doubts about the signing of Benjamin Sesko for 74 million pounds following his disappointing performance against Manchester City.

United failed to rally, losing 0-3 at the Etihad thanks to goals from Phil Foden and Erling Haaland.

Ferdinand noted that Sesko did not influence the game in that match:

“The one I worry about is Sesko. He is not getting any chances, no opportunities, nothing is being created for him.”

He emphasized that creating opportunities for new strikers is crucial for them to perform effectively on the pitch.

According to him, this issue needs urgent attention as its consequences can be serious.

The statistics for the 22-year-old Sesko from the match did not inspire optimism: he failed to influence the game, did not manage a single touch in the penalty area, and from 14 passes completed only 8.

Another concerning detail is that he played in the midfield alongside Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte.

Ferdinand also remarked:

“It's depressing to watch such a United. The way we allowed them to enter the penalty area and score goals — it was weak.”

According to observations, there was a complete lack of creativity in the final third, and without Bruno, the situation looked even worse.

“If you asked me where United would finish, I would probably say sixth or seventh place.”

There has been information that some of United's stars are losing faith in coach Ruben Amorim as he continues to stick to the 3-4-3 tactic.

Despite the negative results, the club supports its coach, although his work raises many questions.

Manchester United's unfavorable start to the season continues after they lost to local rivals Manchester City.

Ruben Amorim's team failed to bounce back after the international break, losing 0-3 away.

Phil Foden opened the scoring for City in the 18th minute, with Erling Haaland scoring two goals in the second half.

United now sits 14th in the table, while City managed to overtake them with their second win of the season.

Currently, Manchester United is going through a difficult period both on and off the pitch. The issues of lack of creativity and player dissatisfaction with the coach's strategy signal a need for a change in approach within the team. The situation demands urgent action from the management to avoid even more serious consequences in the future.
