Ferrari Negotiates with Horner: How This Will Affect Hamilton.
Horner's Debut at Ferrari
According to The Sun: Christian Horner may return to Formula 1 by reaching an agreement with Ferrari - the most successful team and driver in motorsport history.
Yesterday it became known that Horner is negotiating to join Ferrari after completing his 'garden leave' he received after being released from Red Bull for 80 million pounds.
Horner was dismissed as team principal of Red Bull after poor performances at the British Grand Prix in July, and last month he completed his contract with the Milton Keynes team.
During his 20 years in this role, he won 14 titles, six constructors' championships, and eight drivers' championships.
According to
Daily Mail, Ferrari twice offered Horner a job over the past two years and wanted to appoint him even before the current sporting director Fred Vasseur was signed.
Vasseur, who, according to rumors, is no longer trusted by Ferrari president John Elkann, was one of three candidates for this position in 2023 along with Horner and former McLaren chief Andreas Seidl.
Potential Changes at Ferrari
The first offer for Horner was 8-12 million pounds more than his salary at Red Bull. Ferrari approached him again at the beginning of this year due to poor results.
One of the key figures in Horner's life is his wife Jerry, who also supports the possibility of moving to Italy.

Horner previously noted that he would be happy to stay at Red Bull, but the struggle for influence in the team became too complicated, and even Max Verstappen could not achieve wins this season.
If the negotiations between Ferrari and Horner prove successful, this may put the future of seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton in question. The British driver is the most successful in Formula 1 history but has yet to secure a podium finish this season after moving from Mercedes.
Hamilton knows how to create winning cars, but reports from Italy indicate that his improvement suggestions are not being considered at Ferrari.
Horner has twice declined to work with Hamilton, one of the refusals came after a question from Lewis's father, Anthony, who was trying to find a place for his son in Formula 1.
Now, with Hamilton already 40, Horner realizes that the driver's best years may be behind him.
Hamilton's contract with Ferrari ends at the end of the next season, but Horner may consider refreshing the driver lineup, including a possible signing of Verstappen.
Combining Horner as a team manager with a driver who could win more titles than any other team in Formula 1 history - Ferrari - could be a turning point.
Ferrari has not won a drivers' championship since 2007 and a constructors' championship since 2008, and has not secured more than five wins in a season since 2018.
The Scuderia, like Manchester United in football, has become a toxic chalice for many who have tried to create changes. But perhaps the ambitions of such a titanic manager as Horner can change this trend with new regulations set to emerge next season.
It is known that Ferrari is actively seeking ways to restore its success in Formula 1. If Horner does indeed become part of the team, his experience and strategic approach could significantly influence the formation of a new strategy aimed at a return to the top. All eyes are now on how these events will unfold and whether Ferrari will be able to turn its ambitions into reality in the near future. Read also
