President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a conversation on August 7 with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva. During the conversation, a new financial assistance program aimed at strengthening the Ukrainian people was discussed.

Zelensky reported this on Telegram, where he also shared details of the conversation with the IMF director. The president informed her about dialogues with partners for a swift resolution of the conflict, as well as about exchanging views with Donald Trump and European leaders.

New Financial Assistance Program

During the conversation, it was noted that Ukraine is obligated to fulfill all its commitments and make necessary reforms even in wartime. Zelensky emphasized that the country is ready to adopt quick decisions that would help the Ukrainian people both during the war and after its conclusion.

Moreover, the conversation addressed funding for Ukrainian military forces. Various options are currently under consideration, which will soon be agreed upon.
